ACIM Daily Miracles Poem for Lesson #151, May 31, 2014

"All things are echoes of the Voice for God."

If there's something you think you can't live without
That's a judgment based on ignorance and doubt.

Your certainty is a cloak
For uncertainty you conceal,
But your defenses show
The uncertainty you can feel,
And the truth we know
Only God can reveal.

What you see with your eyes you always believe,
And now you remember how your senses deceive,
Yet truth is something only God can conceive.

All evidence for judgment comes from our senses,
And to protect our opinions we build strong defenses,
Yet God sees through all our doubts and pretenses.

False evidence is judged by the ego to be true,
But false evidence is something that can never be proved --
When God created reality, He judged it to be You.

When you hear the voice of God
You will certainly rejoice in God,
And at last you'll make the choice for God.

'Cause all the human race
Wants to see God's Face
And receive eternal grace.

When we hear God's Voice echo
Then God's Truth we'll finally know:
Only He can truly judge us,
Both above and below.

ACIM Daily Poem for Lesson #167 for June 16, 2014

There is one life, and that I share with God.

We fell asleep and dreamed of time,
An interval within God's mind,
Which is why our death seems real --
It gives us feelings we can't feel.

But in truth we cannot die,
Which is truth we can't deny --
For we are never forsaken,
And from death we will awaken.

We shall wake up in the arms of God
And never suffer harm from God.
When we wake from our dream we'll see His Face,
And remember we come from His Holy Place,
Live life eternal with His Loving Grace,
And forget that we're running a human race.

When we're aligned with life
We finally find our life
'Cause there's just one kind of life.
This truth the wise man sees:
Life and truth don't come in degrees.

The truth we can't disparage
God's our source and heritage,
But seeing this takes courage.

What seems to happen has never occurred;
What passes for knowledge is only inferred;
What you thought was true has finally blurred;
From our holy path we are never deterred
Since the holy life is much preferred.

So give up these hideous dreams
Where nothing is what it seems
And nightmares come in streams.

This world teaches us what it should,
An important lesson which is understood:
There is only One power, and it is good.
